This data was obtained from the "Map It Change It: Unleashing the Power of Gender Data for Safer Public Transport in Addis Ababa" mapathon held in April 2024. The event focused on collecting gender-disaggregated data to address safety concerns in the Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit (LRT) system. The mapathon aimed to empower local communities by gathering detailed information on station conditions, surrounding road segments, and user experiences through participatory mapping and data collection.

This dataset comprises data from three surveys conducted during the "Map It Change It" mapathon in Addis Ababa. The surveys aimed to collect information on station infrastructure, surrounding road segments, and user experiences to improve the safety and efficiency of the LRT system, particularly from a gendered perspective.
